goodness gracious me!

for all students who are reading this blog. i'm looking for a challenger! but before you volunteer... listen to the challenge.....

introducing the:

WHO.CAN.STUDY.HARDER.THAN.ME Challenge!!!

I haven't worked THIS hard since that dastardly Week during my uni honours year, when i slept at 9pm and woke up at 3am to write my thesis till 9pm only breaking for bfast, lunch and dinner.... that nearly killed me Then!

Today, i spent 6 1/2hrs studying OUTSIDE of class! i know i don't have to prove to anyone that i'm doing work but hell, i think u need to have an idea of HOW MUCH there is.... TWELVE PAGES of wordwork, AND TWELVE listeningexercises .... in One Day - ToDay - its not funny lor. really. then there was extra lessons for pple who were weak (that's me!) and slow (that's me!) and it was optional, but Of Course I attended right!!! then there were normal grammar lessons and then of course i had to revise what was taught in the past couple of days - realised that my short term memory is reeeally short! all in all, 10.5hrs of on-task jap work today (on task means u actually stay focussed and don't do anything ELSE except workworkwork, no distractions!). and it sure seemed like more. wah piang. buuut! practice makes perfect! so i will practice practice and practice! yeah!

to those of you who are studying for tests/the As/ other exams, ganbatte ne! Let me know how you guys are progressing!! we students have to support one another in times of trial and stress! yeah! hahaha!!!

so you know apart from exercising the brain, i've also been trying to exercise my heart, lungs, legs, butt! hahaha! check out this pic!

you guys remember that scenic bridge that you can see from my window? well, Khine (Myanmar), Mimi (Thailand) and me CYCLED UP that bridge -anddown, and UP Another bridge -anddown after that to get to the holy grail of shopping centres (at least that's what we thought la.. ) called: AEON!!! most normal pple cycle to the train station and take a bus from there to AEON - just to give u an idea of its distance from the Institute. I am going to do it again tomorrow with Mimi (we are going to try for 3 times a week). cause its a really good workout (if you don't stop and push like we did at some parts!). You can see Mimi behind me in the pic, and Khine was walking up this stretch so you can't see her! Siong ok! (esp for ms Unfit like me). here's to a balance of the sedentary and the physical! yeah!!!

of course, besides just physical and mental exercise, we also have to exercise our stomaches right?!?! yesterday was the FIRST day we ate out of the Institute On Our Own (usually when we do eat out -and that's rare still- its with a host organisation). and i'm so proud to say that all of us managed to order food on our own. wow. considering everything is in a mix of hiragana, katakana, and kanji, it was a feat for most of us! at the institute, we just pick up number tags that match the food that we want. so that's easy, cause you just need to know how to say numbers in japanese, and a few other simple things like 'rice', or 'soup', or 'less' or 'more'!

So of course when we manage to order stuff on our own we are ecstatic right? See See!

this is Gift from Thailand
