stress

i have been unbelievably tested. after going through more than 12hrs of hell writing my thesis proposal and other nonsense that is required for my university entrance examination IN JAPANESE, and then, going through ANOTHER 12hrs more of hell AND putting my very pregnant japanese teacher through the Same Hell EDITING the damn thing.... i was told -

PLEASE ADJUST YOUR THESIS TOPIC IN ACCORDANCE TO YOUR SUPERVISOR'S ADVCE.

which is the same as saying:

1) what you wrote is mostly, rubbish now - useless
2) it will be bad if u insist in going to the entrance interview with your old topic unchanged
3) please come up with another proposal

First of all - DAMN! tell me earlier la! Second of all - DAMN! tell me earlier la!

well, on the bright side, i've learnt to be extremely straightforward with the Japanese - no need to be paiseh, or think about what they will feel/ think about you. JUST SAY IT - especially when it comes to things that make a difference to your happiness quotient.

and, on a (perhaps) slightly brighter note, i managed to scramble up a completely NEW proposal - from ZERO. and i would like to publically announce that Rebecca Lo is a godsend.

of course, knowing how the course of my life is winding up - my 2nd proposal might be a complete miss as well. but AH! AT LEAST I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO WRITE IT IN ENGLISH FIRST.
