the crash

got into an accident along the pie on thursday night while driving home from yann's place after my 'cooking lesson'.... we did a dinner of pan fried cod (yann did most of that), jap beef curry rice, and veggies!

i was really tired coming back about 10.15pm and fell asleep in the car for a couple of seconds ... heard a bang and jammed the brakes, opened my eyes and the damage was before me.

no one was hurt... and the driver of the large lorry that i hit was pretty concerned (his boss called me later that night to ask me if i'd seen a doctor - think he saw his vehicle and decided the damage was pretty minimal compared to what his driver described of my car.)

a tow truck driver on his way back home stopped by and offered to help me tow the car (the number for tanchong's towing service was not working...duh). so things fell in place pretty easily and i just had to go on autopilot and let things run.









estimated cost of damages - more than $10k. insurance is going to cover most of it. and i'm happy to be well.
