Singapore Saturday

Met up with Jason my AYF senior (10th batch) today. he's from kyoto uni and he came allllll the way from KYOTO to ULU Rinku Town Station (nearest station to where i live - NOT ANYWHERE NEAR City Centre) to meet up before going back allllll the way to Namba (South of the City Centre) and Osakako (West of the City Centre) Stations for shopping and a visit to the aquarium. its' reaaaaally far. He's a nerd, but a cool nerd. and he doesn't want his photo published so i shall respect his decision... hahaha but i can embarrass him in other ways! heh heh.

We took a trip to the Osaka 'Kaiyukan' - Aquarium. The first exhibit were otters - with otter pups (if u can call the babies pups!) they were pretty cool. but the highlight for most pple was the whaleshark exhibit, where a smallish whaleshark swam with a variety of other fish (tuna, trevally, leopard shark, dogfish, mantas, stingrays, black&white tipped reef sharks, and a barracuda). The exhibit was so big that it must've taken up 2-3 storeys worth of space! needless to say, there were people everywhere, leaning against the glass, trying to control children, taking pictures etc.

We also saw creatures from outer space!

nah... those are spider crabs - they are weird looking huh!

we also saw a variety of jellies and the first one that you see is a moon jellyfish. beautiful, etheral aura surrounded it.

i can't remember the name of this funky pair, but they were actually moving slowly enough for me to take a nice photo of them.

and this is a nautilus. it must have been catching up on some sleep cause it didnt' move!

we shopped .....

I FINALLY FOUND UNIQLO!!! and i am officially a uniqlo addict! a good variety of reasonably priced clothes !! i like i like! kudos to jason for pointing them out Oh Oh. i had to take out my shoes and leave them outside the door of my dressing room, and could not take in more than 2 sets of clothes at any time. that's quite stringent i think.



after that we simply wandered around (jason had an idea of where we were, approximately. i just wandered like a blind woman!!) take in the atmosphere of the city!!!





We also went to this shop called 'The Loft' ... potentially useless but incredibly beautiful stuff. i like i like i like!

and along the way, what was real cool was that Jason started teaching me some useful, 'ugly' words that could be used in real life!?!?! still trying to keep them in my head! rentention is bad! here's to more waffle-kyotoT-grapes days!
