on my own
just returned from a NINE hour long home visit. wah piang. i did it. on my own!! but i was praying man, i was praying! cause i didn't think we got off on the right foot after the first telephone call to make the appointment.
the denshi jissho (electronic dictionary) is the most impt device u can own, if u are gonna be staying in japan. my appointment was the earliest and i think one of the longest (it wasn't the Hardest. Gift's home visit family was Tough. Really Really Tough) of all the appts today: she picked me up at 1pm and i only returned home at 10pm.
anyway, this is akiko san and her husband, who's an ex-cop! woah!! and look, in less than 9hrs i look as if i've been transformed into a housewife! hee hee hee!!!
i helped do up a lovely sashimi spread!! sluurrrp! and eat raw beef and fantastic sashimi-persimmon salad!!!!!! awwwweessoommmeee.....
oh and before going shopping for and making dinner, we went to a flower viewing garden!! hehe and instead of flowers, this i wat i found most interesting!!!!!
all in all, it was a nice day!

Oh dear... was Gift's 'family' aloof? :\ I hope this short stay didnt hurt her confidence too badly.

gin lost 200g!! she's now 6.8kg which is mervin's weight!! but mervin also weighs less now.. abt 6.5kg... i wonder why they both lost weight?
i hope it isnt becoz i'm feeding them less due to my studies... but they've been eating healthy i think... got fruits on alternate days, yesterday had veges, carrots and white fish... and today the amb's had function so they got to try the leftovers... salmon and cavier! nice right! YUMMY! gin did 3 belly-ups for that!! :D
every morning they also get an index finger size bull tendon bone to chew while i 'run' out of the hse to sch... haha. not forgetting the supplements.
aiya. i just dun understand!! i have this strange feeling that i've been giving less kibbles these days.... hmmm. better not be underweight la, both of them lose abt 200-300g alr. it's alot to lose in a week or so for dogs. nvm, next wk i bring them to dr nicole for free health check-up! haha!
anw, juz brought them out for a walk. gin 'attacked' a toad on the road for 10min while cars whizzed pass... and she's not scared lei! she was juz so engrossed with the toaddy, pawing it n trying to 'mouth' it before it jumped into a covered drain! aww. too bad. but nice adventure! she's been killing lizards at my house too! now when she goes down for walks at night, all the lizards run into cracks and hide!! dun believe, ask my cousin! i think the lizards know her!!!! -elaine
