pure silly fun

we had an Okonomiyaki Party on saturday on the Institute grounds, hosted by the volunteers and some of the staff from the Japan Foundation (the organisation that's sponsoring all of us). instead of giving you a boring blow by blow account of what we did... and since i gather i'll have to do it in japanese either to my sensei in an email or to another sensei in class.... i'm just going to give u a taste of the silly fun we engaged in during the party.

first up, one of the few pieces of idiot proof instructions in english:

1) stirring thick thick thick flour paste. our arms ached afterwards.


2) at nara, on the rock. mimi likes this photo very much and thinks i look like a nike model - i think i look like a Puking-Monster-with-a-Broken-Heart but i like Puking-Monsters-with-Broken-Hearts so go easy on the criticism ok!


mimi decided to mess around with the okonomiyaki - the result:

notice the initials - 'V' and 'K' on the 2 peaks of the heart shaped okonomiyaki. this was made by Mimi for VillaKorn, the *slightly strange* Laotian with super romantic notions of the world. Mimi and I decided to give him our version of 'Romantic'.
