girls' night out

chiho-san kindly offered me a room in her house on sunday night! i thought it a spare room, but it was only after i arrived that i realised that she had offered me the master bedroom! her whole family sleeps together in the tatami/dining room on futons, because her son, kakeru-kun is still young and might fall off the bed at night.

well, i arrived later than expected, because we left furuya sensei's house late and then went for a spot of shopping. when i arrived, i realised that dinner had already been prepared.. so that was like *ARGH* ... and then its was *WOAHHHH* .. because.. it was a TEMAKI FEAST

sashimi, goya champon (fried bittergourd and egg, specialty of okinawa), ikura (salmon eggs, which i LOVE), special tofu (its called 風に吹かれて豆腐屋ジョンニー　I THINK! - lit translation: johnny's tofu shop that has been blown by the wind?! i THINK! hahah!) it tasted like singapore's 'tau huay', but nicer!!!!!! , sashimi salad (which was also extremely yummy) and mushrooms wrapped in bacon!! nice right nice right?!?! :) :)

after that we had a girls' night out and talked and stayed up eating junk food till 2.30am or was it 3am??

chiho-san only sleeps for about 3 hrs every night and she leads a madly fast paced life, juggling school, writing a thesis, taking care of husband and kid, and teaching japanese at multiple schools. i don't know how she does it! amazing woman!!!!

anyway i'm looking forward to the next girls' night out! :) :) :)
