lyn's xmas do!

as usual, Parties at Lyn's are always smashingly fun, and this Xmas was no exception :)


one of the highlights was the fantastic turducken (chicken, stuffed into duck, stuff into turkey) that tracy,addie,thye,yann,donna, and lyn made. this is part of the turducken team!


making turducken is serious business, which includes the laborious process of debone-ing the poultry and stitching up the insides together.





so compared to that FEAT, the other team of us making Gingerbread Land had a pretty darn easy job i think!!

this is the M&M driveway leading up to the house. notice the POND that we created out of blue sugar!! pretty!!!!! it even had fish!!!


reindeer on the roof (there was even a chimmey with a santa falling out with his presents and stars!! there were at least 4 different santa clauses in gingerbread land!!! there was an igloo santa, a santa on the roof, a racecar driver santa, and then there were a few santas standing around looking pretty bored!



these star gates were painstakenly made by tien. they are kinda artistic if u think about it abit longer. we just squished a whole load of icing super to make them all stick together!! apart from this star gate, tien also made a brick wall made of fruitloops!!!



gingerbread land would not have been possible without Krista and Nick, Nick is Tien's younger brother, and Krista is his wife. Krista is a cook and Nick is a chef. so, tien and i did all the messy lousy dead easy work, but Krista and Nick made it Art. :D



i know we are kinda old to be playing drunken drinking games but we did and one of us (i can't remember who crashed the car into the house, made the walls bleed and nearly killed an innocent snowman) next year we'll need to arrange for a police car to pull up into the drive way!


then, one of the reindeers from the roof escaped and made its way into the arms of a very happy addie. merry xmas addie! *maaww maaaww* (or watever sounds a reindeer makes when its in love)


managed to meet up with eileen the mad one, and sharon, the madder one. yippeee!


we were made to form couples and stand at the enooormous xmas tree and take sweet pics. there was only one problem. there was a triad of singles which made things abit awkward!!! can u spot them can u spot them?


oh oh! we also had a gift exchange and i got donna's surprise, which was a so so soft roll of .... toilet paper!!!!!!!


most of us agree that this looks like i'm trying to grope donna, but i'm just trying to catch the falling roll....


after all that excitement, the Best Place to be is All Together on the couch in Lyn's room, watching Tim sleep (snore) and talking to him thru your nose.
