松島 Matsushima

Kogota Nourin High School was far enuff away from sendai for us to drop in on the famed matsushima.

Matsushima, famed for having the 3rd best view/scenery in the whole of japan, is basically a cluster of little islands ....

what most of the tourists seem to have done (ie, which we didn't do) was to have taken a boat cruise around the different islands - there are actually different routes u can take!

at the entrance to one particular islands, there was this store that sold this purse telling u what kind of person is able to save/accumulate money: simple precepts like, don't spend beyond ur means and other stuff ... thought it was interesting. i might translate the meaning of each and every sentence later...



this is my token silly pose taken on one of the islands - i'd climbed over the rail and was peering down at the ocean, being my silly self as usual.

we ended the day eating raw oysters at this market/food centre we happened to come across (complete chance) on the way back!!!!



the oysters were yummmy, maybe because they were shucked right in front of us! i soooo wanna eat some more!!!!!
