MY TOILET & I
Some of you may recall a post in the first couple of weeks of my time here - i broke my toilet seat, remember. Yesterday is was officially One Week to our departure date. and ... i managed to flood 3/4 of of my toilet floor. when i say Flood. i mean FLOOD. spent 30mins with 3 towels to slop up all the water that was pooling ... terrrrriilbbble.
when water pools on the floor outside my bathtub, i always assumed that it was because
1) i unknowingly pointed the shower head in the wrong direction during my shower
2) the water escaped through some impossibly small hole in the shower curtain
3) i just dont know how to bath properly
but THIS TIME .... it didn't stop pooling. it wasn't just a poool. it was a reservoir! then i wondered.. how come huh .... then i realise. then i start to take apart unobstrusive looking panels (that i never knew existed!) and discovered -- hell, its from the sink hole - not the sink hole in the bath tub, or the sink, but the main big one that all HDB shower rooms have... (the ones without a bath tub) so i do abit a clearing and it doesn't work
so i call Maintenence and they do some funky magic thing with liquid that is supposed to dissolve everything and clear up the obstruction - and after 1 hr of waiting for magic -
it doesn't work
so early in the morning, Mr Nice Maintenence Man comes along with a huge pail, a plunger and TWO bottles of magic solution (ya - the Same One that Didn't Work last night!)
he removes cover upon cover from the sink .. never knew so many layers existed - and grabs a tuft of hair out .... then he removes another cover and reaches down and BINGO! HE STRIKES BLACK GOLD.
It was the biggest clump of hair i'd ever seen! OMG. i wanted to ask him to let me hold it to feel its weight. but i was too embarrassed. haha!
so its official - I HAVE A HAIR PROBLEM. i need to cut my hair short to solve the problem. recommendations for good hairdressers please!

U mean u've never cleared that "sink" or watever the entire time?! OMG!! These things choke super fast in Japan! Amazing u breezed thro the six mths!
When we stayed at my boss' place last Oct, we haf to clear that almost every alt day for 3 girls worth of hair!

HAHA! You silly! You're fine lah.. your problem is natural.
Everyone sheds hair, at least 100 strands a day just that we dont notice. (And more when we're stress, and I expect you to be pretty stressed up having to learn difficult Jap everyday.) Those with long hair would have more hair clonging up the sink simply because their hair is longer! Haha. Simple. :)
You knw wat will happen if you do cut your hair short... Hehe. But I would love to see you in short hair! It'll be cool!!

domestic goddesses rock! :) :) love ur simple device. hey do you think that it would work the same for memory loss? like i think my knowledge of jap words is leaking at a rate of 100 words a day. need it to stop! say... if u put it to my ears.. do u think that it will work ?
