finally... from sendai.

i know i haven't blogged in ages - but the buzz of fun activity and the simplicity of just existing took a rain check for a couple of weeks. well i've really only been in sendai for just under 2 weeks, so the loneliness and the cold and the damp and the (comparative) lack of a transport system plus the cough and flu and cold took a toll on me.

what has passed is:
wandering lost in the streets of the shopping area with a bicycle, a fever and a map, not knowing how to get home... but the first thing u guys should do when u visit a new area is to get a map! ahha! :) seriously!

walking 40mins to school and another 40mins back... appreciating the sakuras blooming in pink and white hues....then suddenly becoming pink and green (a Very Weird combination that happens with the blooms fall off and the leaves grow out) .... HMM.

biking in the freezing cold on crazy streets with motorbikes, pedestrians and cars all whizzing by you ... and losing one side of my fav glove somewhere around the way

2 'parties' ... not the crazy yann tracy lyn addie tracy yan madcap nutty types. semi-civilised sit down eat, drink and get to you know sessions with professors and fellow post graduates around. where u pour drinks for each other (its impolite to fill ur own glass!)

my second supervisor scaring the shit out of me - TWICE. apparently she does it to everyone.. so i'm not receiving any 'special' treatment. but hell... she's scary.

wandering around shopping malls - yes. malls are a luxury because there is NOTHING around my area except for convenience stores and small little supermarkets (think 1/2 the size of toh yi void deck 'auntie/uncle' shophouse)

spraining/straining the ball of my left foot - was damn painful and couldn't walk without pain! and getting new shoes and blisters on heels and tiny toes... owww.. i'm wearing a MEN"S BRAND cause none of the ladies cuts fit me -- ARNOLD PALMER, I LOVE YOU! hahaah! and if that's not bad enough, i have also taken to buying very cheap men's clothing! polo tees and long sleeved basics go at S$7 for men, and S$8-9 for ladies. so what the hell, get the mens' cut man! no-brainer! so u guys can imagine what these japanese think of me. haha! no makeup, doesn't cook, can't speak jap, wears men's clothes ho ho ho!

the weather has gotten considerably warmer here, about 14degs at night and 20 in the day, so i was walking around in trackpants and a singlet yesterday night and again, the japanese got the shock of their lives... ''aren't you cold?!??!" .... remembber i was all rugged up in 3-4 layers just a week ago. then one of the girls notices the HUGE MEN'S WATCH on my wrist 'Casio Referee Timer' - and then sees me setting the 'timer' function so i don't forget to come out to check on my water that's boiling on the stove haha!!! W.E.I.R.D. but that's good, cause then my japanese acquaintances start to ask and tell me about going on the pill, tampons and what size men do i like!!!

so.. basically i'm still alive - but only 2 out of my 8 japanese classes are not boring - which makes me a very bored girl, since each class is 1.5hrs!!!! and my education modules are... challenging. so challenging i can barely figure out what they are talking about. talk about extreme situations....

haha IF i actually GRADUATE with a MASTERS - WAH... u guys in singapore better throw a DAMN BIG Masters Completion Party for me!!!!!
